Hello all! I've been here 2 years and for all of those two years I have had the same Av (avatar btw): the Hush Riddler!

however, I got persuaded (I'm really easy to persuade actually...thanks anyway Primmaster!) to change my Av. I am attached to the Riddler pic so I'm keeping that (plus it would mean I have to create a new Christmas pic and I don't feel like that!), so I am going to do a two week fun project with my avatar as the focus. I like other characters OTHER than Riddler (GASP!), so I will showcase some of the characters I like!

Day 1: Sherlock Holmes 1/17/2012

• • Status: Elementary!
  • Explanation of choice: Sherlock Holmes has always been a favorite of mine. I started reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when I was in 2nd or 3rd Grade (when most kids were still reading 100 pg chapter books or Junior fiction if you are a librarian). Do you know how many strange english words there are in SH for a young reader? a lot! But, I persist and I love Sherlock Holmes! If you look at my page I list my location as Rache, which is the word written in blood in SH's first story (Study in Scarlet). I just love Sherlock Holmes which is why he is my favorite detective!

Day 2: Spock 1/18/2012

• Status: Fascinating!
• Explanation of choice: I love Spock! I am a big Star Trek fan. I just love green blooded guy! he is just really enertaining! I also love Leonard Nimoy, so this is also a tribute to him!

Day 3: Tigger! 1/19/2012

• Status: T-I-double"guh"-errrrr, that spells Tigger!
• Explanation of choice: this might be a surprise to some, but not to me. Now, the story of why I chose this goes back to when I was in pre-school. A kid asked me what my favorite superhero was (most likely he was expecting "Superman" or "Batman" or someone), but that was not my answer. Now, I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh, so my answer was, "Tigger!" My companion said that this bouncy character was not a superhero, but I disagreed. I still disagree. I love Tigger and I am proud to show off this love by using him as my third profile picture on this project!

Day 4: John Steed 1/20/2012

• Status: Mrs. Peel, we're needed!
• Explanation of choice: I just read the first issue of Steed and Mrs. Peel (check out my review!) and my love of the 60s tv show The Avengers returned. I love the humor and the cleverness of the stories and the jokes. I also love Patrick Macnee, so this profile pic is wonderful to show who I am and what I like!

Day 5: Darkwing Duck 1/21/2012

• Status: Lets Get Dangerous!
• Explanation of choice: Darkwing Duck is a favorite of mine. I loved the show (it was very funny) and when I got into comics my first ongoing series was Darkwing Duck, so I have a huge respect to Darkwing Duck!

Day 6: The Flash 1/22/2012

• Status: The Fastest Man Alive!
• Explanation of choice: I've started reading the Flash and I am really enjoying myself, so...I guess Flash would be perfect for this project...

Day 7: Bullwinkle 1/23/2012

• Status: If you can't believe what you read in a comic book, what can you believe? -- Bullwinkle J. Moose (from Rocky and Bullwinkle)
• Explanation of choice: I am not a child of the 50s or 60s, but I have a deep love of the Show "The Adventure of Rock & Bullwinkle & Friends". This was done by the same guy (Jay Ward) who create George of the Jungle. I love June Foray who voice Rocky the flying squirrel on that show (in addition to her roles as Granny from Sylvester and Tweety, cindy loo who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated) and so many famous others). As a tribute to that show, I created a Blog called "The Ponsonby Britt Report" (named after the show's literally fictional executive producer) where I review books and movies. So, that is why I chose Bullwinkle to be my av (I would have done Boris Badenov, but couldn't find a good picture...)

Day 8: Nightwing 1/24/2012

Status: oh, boy! a carny!

Explanation of choice: I have like Dick Grayson for a while now, but after starting to read the new 52 Nightwing series I really do like Master Grayson. He is just really a lot of fun!

Day 9: Alfred Hitchcock 1/25/2012

• Status: Oh, look over there! its a Macguffin!
• Explanation of choice: I love Afred Hitchcock. He is a wonderful Director who created some of my favorite movies of all time! so he totally diserves to be part of this project!

Day 10: Scooby Doo 1/26/2012

• Status: Rooby, rooby, roo!
• Explanation of choice: I love Scooby Doo. Maybe its the humor or maybe it is the mystery element of the show, but I just love Scooby Doo.

Day 11: Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka 1/27/2012

• Status: "We are the Music Makers. We are the dreamers of dreams!" -- Willy Wonka
• Explanation of choice: Roald Dahl is a wonderful writer. I have enjoyed all of his books espeshelly Willy Wonka. While I realize the main focus of the movie was on charlie Bucket, I just love Willy Wonka. He is whimsical and fun--just like what I want to be like. Also I once played Willy Wonka in a musical version of the book, so I have a definite love for Wonka!

Day 12: Terry McGinnis 1/28/2012

• Status: Here's to the future...
• Explanation of choice: I really enjoyed the animated tv show Batman Beyond. I think it is a cleaver concept. I have been reading the new comics as they come out and I look forward to reading more of this universe. With all respect to Bruce and the other Batmen, I think I do like terry better...He's just an amusing character.

Day 13: "The Riddler" by Spacey 1/29/2012

• Status:Today's av was made by the wonderful and talented CV user known as Spacey!
• Explanation of choice: several months ago, I was sent a pm by the very kind user named Spacey. She directed me to a CV blog where she had posted three pictures she had made for three different users. One of those pictures was a watercolor of Riddler and that picture was for...me! I am really humbled by this gift even now. So I thought it would be appropriate to have this as my av!

Day 14: "The Parade of Popular Poets" by The Poet 1/30/2012

• Status: Check out my poet av which hosts: Oscar Wilde, Robert Frost, Walt Whiteman, Shakespeare, Dr. Seuss, Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Maya Angelou!
• Explanation of choice: I do like poets, so I thought I would set my av as one of my favorites, but as I couldn't decide I made a collage of poets.

Bonus

I need one last av while I wait for the final vote of which av I will choose, so I'm going to go with Decoy Elite's Kirby Riddler!
