Mr. Jigsaw's best pal, "Buck," decides it's time Mr. Jigsaw had a partner to "watch his back." In a fun and hilarious tale it is decided that there should be an American Pop-Idol-like contest to choose a side-kick for Maine's only living Superhero. Adding to the excitement and hilarity a gang of thieves decides to rob the theater staging the contest of the proceeds of the show, slated to go to charity.
