Derdre awakes from a dream of violence to find herself with bloody hands. Concerned that something may happen, she goes for advice to her favorite priest at the monastery where she lives. He proposes a meditation exercise where she falls asleep and awakens to find him dead. Afraid she may be responsible, she decides that now she's 18 she's going to investigate her roots...
