    I thought Wanda wasn't an Omega just because a whole lot of her power comes from magic, rather than mutant powers.

    Technically speaking, the Scarlet Witch has not been stated as being an Omega Level mutant, but after the events of M-Day she definitly displayed powers on an Omegal level; far beyond anything Mikhail is capable of. Also, its been stated that there probalbly was no such such thing as chaos magic and that her original probablity powers were probably early manisfestations of her reality manipulating abilites. Also if youve read Avengers Disassembled or M-Day, then you will see what the Witch is capable of, awe-inspiring raw power, no question she is an Omega---one with a very fractured psyche. And to note---the events of Avengers disassembled and M-Day had nothing to do with her learned magic....it was all mutant ability.
        Even though Wandas original abilities may have seemed quit weak, you must consider that Jean Grey, also an Omega, started out performing weak telekenetic parlor tricks.  A good reference on mutant power levels (ie: Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Omega) would be on Wikipedia because i dont think there is one here on comicvine yet.

    Mutant 'levels' are just a writing gimmick, and a poor one at that.

    You know who's an omega level mutant?  Whoever the writer feels like making one.

    Look, we absolutely cannot say that Wanda is an Omega mutant because we have no idea what part of her powers enhanced what.

    Thats very true, and thats the only way it can be, and apparently the writers are gearing Wanda to the status of Omega.... and when they get ready, may or may not bump up Mickail to Omega staus.

    Wanda can't control her abilties and there is nothing unlimited about her powers..therefore she has shown nothing Omega.

    Omega Level has all to do with potential and not ability. You could still be incredibly weak and be a omega class mutant, it simply means that you have unlimited potential.

    im pretty sure her original powers to affct probability werent very efficient. But the influence of Clthon's magics made her more powerful, thus giving her more potentials.@Fortanono said:

    reality warping in itslef does not. depends on the area you can affect and your potential. Proteus wouldnt be because he can only affect so much. Mad Jim Jaspers on the other is def an omega level mutant. But anyway... Mikhail should definitely be an alpha
