An incredibly durable insect, Mighty Moth took delight in flying around a human he called "Dad", and as such was a constant annoyance to the man, who did his best to kill or escape from the pest to no avail. While he might manage to temporarily incapacitate the insect and get away from it, Mighty Moth would always spring back and catch up with him.

Created by Dick Millington, Mighty Moth first appeared in TV Comic #384 in March 1959. One of the few characters in the comic not based on a TV show, Mighty Moth would also prove the title's most enduring feature, staying in the comic right until the final issue in June 1984, with Millington writing and drawing every single story. He also appeared in many of TV Comics' annuals and holiday specials, even getting one to himself in 1981.
