I can't say I know much about this character, but I know that G-Man really diggs him, which made me think that while he and I may not feel the same way about Spiderman , we generally can agree on a lot of things. Hence why I decided to give this a chance. He gave me a heads up on this cool cartoon that you can stream courtesy of MTV and watch video clips of up to 6 episodes. So I checked it out. Let me say this first; while it is quirky and kind of dark, " The Maxx " is one very cool cartoon. The animation was pretty neat as well, very unique and different from anything I had ever seen. Check this out! Enjoy!

Noooo... Babs, you love to tease me with these MTV videos that wont play here!

I think I still have this on VHS somewhere, but alas, no player to watch it on.  The Maxx was a fantastic cartoon, and they wrapped it up nicely to feel like a complete story.  This introduced me to my first non-Marvel/DC comic, and the lovely works of Sam Kieth.  I just WISH they'd put this on DVD!!

@Babs: I even tried viewing it directly from MTV's site, but it still says it wont broadcast outside of the US for copyright reasons.  If they would just release it on DVD, then I could pay, import & watch it :)

It's fun to see people discovering the Maxx after all of these years. I am a big fan ofThe Maxx comic and I watched the series on MTV in it's original run. Fortunately I had the foresight to tape them at that time, because until now that's been the only way to see the episodes again, as they've never been released on DVD (to my knowledge).

To everyone who likes this I say you've got to check out the comics. It is far deeper than the TV version and it's a great example of Sam Kieth at his artistic best IMO.

I second that (although without the Daria).  I even had to download the episodes which are insanely small (pretty much iPod sized).  If MTV had released this on DVD then I wouldn't have been forced to download it :(

@xerox-kitty: i was lucky enough to watch the whole series when it was actually on TV, but to download it or even attempt to buy it is insane, MTV are kinda ridiculous with their shows it really bugs me -_- this was one of the great adult cartoon shows of the x generation and I WANT TO OWN IT GOD DAMN IT!! lol

@.Mistress Redhead.: I had it on VHS about 15 years ago, when I first got into it.  But I can only imagine how amazing it would be on DVD on a flat screen TV...
