Deadpool used to have no series so he's come a long way in a short time. He's not up to Wolverine's standards though.

Wolverine is in about 3-4 X-Men books, X-Force, New Avengers, Wolverine, Wolverine: Origins, Wolverine: First Class.  The X-Men and Avengers books that don't have him will feature a younger clone of him. He generally appears in every tie in saga book (Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign etc) along with at least a couple of team-ups in other books per month. He already has his own movie and is slated for a second. I don't know about you guys but I personally can't get enough Wolverine.

    No.

Deadpool, Spiderman, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and plenty of other characters are all more popular than Storm.
There are even other X-Men more popular than Storm. Reason being: Storm could not support her own title. It's been proven. If she could, Marvel would exploit it.

well, i could say Spiderman is more popular than Storm but him only among those you have mentioned. Ask a child and they don't know who Deadpool is. they might have heard about the Hulk and Iron Man but x-men cartoons (any versions) has become popular and are more famous than hulks and iron mans series. aside from that, Storm is already on 3 movies.

    Don't delude yourself.

Deadpool, as has been stated, has three series being released at the moment. He had a successful series during the 90s and before his current main-series had a joint series with Cable. There is also a DP movie in development. Although not to my taste, he's a very popular character.
Iron Man has had a film centered around him, with another in development, as well as an animated TV series. Stark has also had several long-lasting solo series and prominent features in other Marvel team books and events.
Hulk has had two movies, a cartoon show, a famous TV live-action show, and at least two animated films. He's had numerous series focusing on him, and a great many more revolving around his franchise (She-Hulk, Skaar etc). He's even had his own Marvel Event.....
Then there is all the Iron Man and Hulk-dedicated Merchandise.....
    Also,

Captain America, Thor, Jean Grey, etc etc. There are many characters more popular than Storm.

Storm has not had a long-term successful solo book to date. (Actually, she's in Origins too.... as a cameo) Any other character could have done what the Hallie-Berry Storm did in the X-Men Trilogy.

I don't understand how Deadpool is more popular than Daken & Rulk when their comics outsold all Deadpool's books and not just barely either. He's getting all these cameos to make him more popular, not because he's already that popular.

I disagree with everyone saying Deadpool. Yes he is popular, but only to comic book fans.
He might be the most popular once his movie comes out, but if you go out to the general public and ask people if they know who deadpool is you will get basically the same answer: No.

The most popular Marvel characters are the characters that have been the most popular for a long time: Wolverine, Spiderman, Captain America, X-Men (original, mainly in the movies), and Hulk.

The guy didn't state who is the most popular with comic books fans, so i'm taking its the most popular in general. So deadpool definately isn't it.

I'm a huge comic book fan, and whenever my friends come over and saw a random deadpool comic laying around they would ask, "IS that spiderman?'

It feels like Wolverine is in over half of the current Marvel books. He's even in most of the mini-series including both Black Widow and Psylocke. He's everywhere. So if popular is based on how many people see him, read about him, etc. then Wolverine is easily the the most popular.

I think Captain Marvel, both for her solo series and her lead in the infinity event.

But personally I'm liking Hulk in Indistructable Hulk, I know he has had pretty much no part in infinity and probably won't till the end, but he should have a big role in inhumans....

Savage Wolverine doesn't bother me, couldn't get into it, but I hope he has a better run soon, dead pools ever popular, I hope Luke cages popularity increases with the new mighty avengers, but time will tell... FF is still great at the moment... Not tried Avengers Avena but that still going strong so someone must like it?

Unless you mean at the movies? In which case wolverine and ironman are the heavy hitters out shining any other Marvel hero... Or DC hero for that matter... Just think how much more money a iron man vs wolverine film would make... It would blow superman vs batman out the water that's for sure...

Also Spider-Man maybe? Will see how well the next movie does

You do realize The Amazing Spider-Man has made more money than The Wolverine right? Iron Man and Spider-Man are clearly the 2 most popular Marvel heroes at the movies.

    Captain Marvel? Wat

    Why is nobody saying...

    Captain America

    Norman Osborn

    Daken

    Rulk

Because they're not the most popular Marvel character right now?

I'm not basing it on money of any particular film, but on the current runs, captain marvel must be popular or they wouldn't be giving her so much coverage in comics, either that or Marvel are wasting a lot of money.

Wolverine would not have even been made if he wasn't popular at the theatres, you would need to add up all of the money from every xmen film and wolverine movie and compare it to the spider man movies... Even then do you say it's wolverine vs Spider-Man or Toby McGuires spiderman vs Hugh Jackmans wolverine vs Andrew Garfields Spider-Man? In which case Hugh jackmans wolverine surely wins hands down at the moment... But as there is a Spider-Man 2/5 coming out that may change.

But honestly no, I don't know how much each charecter is worth, both are making fox and Sony very rich and are very popular... But as the Andrew Garfield has only done one film I'd not like to guess if the next film will do as well as the first.

Also I really hate Rulk :/
