Fantastic Four 605 says that Reed was born in 1961 (mythology gag) and Sue was born in the 60s as well. (look closely behind Franklin's back, it looks like part of a six is covered). How old would you say every one else is?

Another hint came from Incredible Hulk 611 (2010) where it had a young banner from "30 years ago" looking around 4 to 6 years old but never actually stated his age.

@moywar700: Have you read Fantastic Four 605?

The cover says he was born in 1961 and (if it wasn't for his time travelling father's intervention) he would have died in 2012 where the issues currently take place. Reed has to be 51 years old. Sue was born in the 60s as well based on the cover (and is younger than Reed) so presuming she was born in 1969 (at the latest) she is 43. Johnny is about the same age as Peter Parker but that's all we can go by. Ben went to college with Reed so he's probably the same age.

Marvel and DC have a sliding timeline so the characters are however old the writers need them to be

@danhimself: Marvel gave the character who came up with the sliding timeline a birth year; meaning they have some idea (for the time being) of the character's age. Have there been any other hints? Or was it a one time thing?

Or if you can estimate that's cool too.

that cover was just a cover the only reason that it had the year 1961 on the tombstones was because that's the year the first issue of Fantastic Four came out...not when Reed was born

@danhimself: I agree that it's a reference (or specifically a mythology gag) to when the FF came out, but I think it's also supposed to be looked at as a hint to his age. A healthy 51 year old doesn't seem too far fetched for Reed.

EDIT: Not to mention I think the cover was supposed to be "serious" rather than artistic or surreal..

Reed being 51 years old seems sensible. So does Sue being 43, she has two children after all.

What's interesting about the Marvel Universe is that, like the DC universe, time does pass and then it sticks at a certain point for a few years. Peter in the civil war saying "he's been spider-man since he was 15 years old", since then he's been to college, became a teacher, and technically been married. Although they don't age in real time they still age.

In DC the Robins demonstrate this as well.

I think the teen characters that originated in the 1960's (Spider-Man, Iceman etc) are now in there early to mid 30's so in continuity roughly fifteen years has passed.

They wouldn't be that all. Their ages have been stagnant for a good 10 years I think.
