Hi
I wonder if anyone can help?
I am rather confused about the status of Spider-Man's "Secret" Identity secret.
During Civil War (2007) Spider-Man reveals his identity as Peter Parker to the world, as a ploy to get superheroes to register, resulting in the Iron-Spider being built. However in The Invincible Iron Man: The Five Nightmares #7 (2009) Tony is still unaware of Spider-Mans identity. Tony even says " you're unregistered as long as you keep your identity a secret, you're actively violating federal law. I can't be seen engaging with you." Tony then continues to say "It's a law Spider-Man not a suggestion. You want to unmask, right now to me, then we can work together. Otherwise go home."
It's not the first time I've noticed this in Panni's Marvel Collectors Edition Avengers Assemble (2012), Spider-Man has not got paid due to is identity being a secret. As you can imagine this is rather confusing, Spider-Man's identity was revealed during one of the biggest Marvel story arcs and yet appears to have not being consistent throughout the Marvel Timeline.
So is this a case of in-continuity, a different timeline or something I have completely missed?
Many Thanks
