I miss the days when Marvel actually was worth reading for me. I think the last time that was around when Garth Ennis shook the industry with Punisher Max. Sounds judgmental , but how can any self-respecting fan read the trash they have been putting out? l mean I understand loyalty to a brand (I am an 18 year down Detroit Juggalo) ,but when you see the characters you love being written to nothing greater then pure mediocritie, well then isn't it time to move on? I believe so . Much to my dismay I see little to no hope for Marvel , with the Disney buy out being a logical business decision it has hurt their printed work. How? Simply look at the focus on the films versus the quality of writting on their titles. The Avengers film has been a success so far , but do we really care about the six different Avenger teams? I know I don't .

Mostly agree. Marvel writing is complete trash compared to theatrical and broadcasting material.

Six different Avengers teams does tend to water down the brand.

Kinda like what Marvel did with the X-Men way before Disney came along.

Hulk (The Red Hulk book, not the Jason Aaaron series)

    Ultimate Comics X-Men

Marvel isn't very good right now, but it's still not complete trash.

Characters are written poorly all the time. You just have to tough it out.

The Punisher, Captain America, Winter Soldier and Daredevil are the only titles worth reading IMO. I'm hoping Captain Marvel is good.....

Are people really complaining about the abundance of Avengers and X-Men titles? There may be several books from Marvel that deal with those two teams and their offshoots, but every book largely features different protagonists and antagonists, with a few exceptions. DC does the exact same thing: they launched 11 Batman or Batman-related books, four Superman or Superman related books and four Green Lantern or Lantern-related books with the new 52, not to mention the fact that the Justice League books feature many of the aforementioned characters.

Now I know that certain Marvel events like AvX seem more like attempts at cashing in on popular characters than telling good stories, but DC fanboys need to take a good look in the mirror before bashing Marvel. Marvel is doing great work with Amazing Spider-Man, Winter Solider, Secret Avengers, Wolverine and the X-Men, Scarlet Spider, Venom, Daredevil, Captain America, Journey into Mystery, Ultimate Spider-Man, Punisher, Fantastic Four and Uncanny X-Force, just to name a few. Both DC and Marvel are putting out great books and terrible books, but it just so happens that one of Marvel's worst books is a highly publicized event.

Stop regurgitating common and short-sighting rhetoric and form your own opinions.
