Sole survivor of the Martian people, J'onn J'onzz was teleported to Earth decades ago by Dr. Saul Erdel. Since then, he has adopted Earth as his new home, playing many roles over his time with humanity: detective, secret agent, explorer, and even a founding member of the Justice League.
I see you're enjoying this series since you're tagging us all with every bit of news, solicit and cover that comes out Don :P
Williams talks a good game and has a genuine passion for the story he's telling, at least that's what I got from his interview and he's got some solid themes to enhance the narrative for the reader to connect with a story about a Martian on Earth. He does deserve some trust even with what the latest solicit says.
the problem with rob willam's writing is its contradicting too much of j'onns backstory not to mention giving him too many powers which he already has enough of

He's allowed to change his backstory, writers do it all the time. He hasn't given him any new powers, every power he's displayed in his run has been shown by Martian Manhunter before.
@dondave: ahh see, right there, having more than one body at a time, i know Williams is trying to expand martian mythos here but touchy territory
Martian Manhunter has done this before. Fernus is a prime example, he removed Fernus from his body and it was an independent being. Just like Rob Williams has done here.
@dondave: you know this series has made me wonder about a few things
1. do martians even have a true form, its different on every cover and they seem to be constantly changing form
2.do individual martians have a different sets meta genes/powers, if not why do they all choose different forms
3. why does colour even matter to martians if they can change it at will..i mean i could understand if it was apart of uniformity, but then why bother with clothes ?
