Good, But Not as Good as The First Issue

I reviewed the first issue of this and very much enjoyed it, while I did also enjoy this issue I didn't think it was as strong as the previous one was. The art is still good, but again, isn't as good as the last one, because Ariel Olivetti wasn't doing it, but I do think that the coloring was actually a bit better. It's also more of a Justice League Story with Martian Manhunter narrating over it, which by the way, his narration is one of the better things in this comic. I didn't really like the premise and I found it fairly silly (but then again I find Gorilla Grodd pretty silly anyway.) I really liked the opening though, as it shows The Manhunter studying apes under the guise of one of them, and it ends up being a statement about humankind. The rest of the issue doesn't really tie in with this idea, as it is just about a qaurrel with Gorilla Grodd and and then ends with the same statement/message thing, which, while cool, didn't really work for the rest of the story. Overall, it's not really a Martian manhunter comic and is really just a fairly mediocre Justice League comic with a cool narration by The Manhunter. My main problem with this comic is that it just doesn't live up to the previous issue which was really good. If that one hadn't been written, or even had been in a different volume, which I think it so obviously should have, due to the fact that it's so tremendously different from the first one, I may have given this a higher rating. If you are looking for a Martian Manhunter solo title I'd say look elsewhere, if you just want to read an exciting comic that is good but not that deep, I'd suggest this issue.
