Mark Twain, alias Samuel Longhorne Clemens, once said,

"Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel."

And Mark Twain was just such a man. He commented on the major events of his day and shook hands with the rich and famous as well as ordinary citizens.

    His creations

Being a writer of stature, Mark Twain broke new ground in genres and stories which had previously been avoided by most writers. Among his numerous stories, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Prince and the Pauper, Huckleberry Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court are his most famous works. He published more than 30 book throughout his carrier.

Although he wrote non-fiction as well as fiction, most of his non-fiction have gone unpopular against his magnificent imaginary stories. Sadly, all of his creator credits are his fictional works.

    The Character

Interestingly enough, Mark Twain has also appeared as character in comics, appearing in series such as Sandman and The Five Fists of Science.
