Marco

History

Little is known about Marco's past , but he has been around for various important events. Marco appears to be one of the older members of the Whitebeard Pirates, as he is seen when Shiki first visits Whitebeard , and he is the 1st divison commander . He was the first to befriend Portgas D Ace , and talk him into joining them , even protesting Ace leaving to find Teach. Marco was also present when Shanks arrived to talk to Whitebeard, and later fought at Marineford to save Ace. After the death of Whitebeard, Marco was the highest ranked member of the crew .

Abilities and Powers

As the former commander of the 1st division of the Whitebeard Pirates, Marco is a very strong and powerful individual, as he demonstrated in the war that he was on a similar level of fighting as the three admirals. He was fully capable of fighting admirals Kizaru, Aokiji, and Akainu while holding his own.

Marco has consumed the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, a Mythical Zoan Fruit , which allows him to transform into a phoenix, granting him the ability to fly. It is an immensely powerful type of Zoan Devil Fruit, said to be the rarest type, even rarer than Logia fruits. It is because of this ability that he is identified as "Marco the Phoenix".

Unlike most Zoan users , he is capable of turning certain parts of his body into a phoenix (in most occasions just his arms) while remaining human . When he transforms, he has increased speed , flight , and healing . In addition to his powers Marco also possesses incredible strength and reflexes (capable of dodging and striking Kizaru who can move at the speed of light) . Marco also possesses Busoshoku Haki , which enhances his attacks and allows him to render Logia users tangible as he used while fighting against Akainu and Kizaru.
