Man of Steel 2013 Review - First DC Movie I've Watched and I've Loved

So yesterday I watched Man of Steel but there was a buffering problem. I got mad so I watched it tomorrow, which is basically today.

Let's get into the review. What I like, what I didn't like much, and what I loved.

    The Review

    Story:

I can't say “Wow! This movie is original!” because, well, it's based on a comic. So I have to say, in my point of view, that it is accurate to the original story. They did well on keeping the truth to the story and the way they showed it. I have to admit that this is the best way for me to understand the story of Superman. I liked the they way they did it.

    Cast:

I made a quick look-up on the original characters and the actors. They do look similar but not entirely accurate. I'd say 7-9 similiar. But I think the casting is quite perfect for these characters and I hope they keep up the good casting in later films.

    Acting:

I'm gonna be completely honest here, the acting IS good but the way they speak the dialogue is what slightly grinds my gears. It's not the voice they make while speaking but the low volume they have when speaking. Reason of which I had to boost up all the volume on my stereo. Other than that, great. I love the the way the actors show emotion and expression during the dialogues and action scenes. Make the movie feel realistic and alive.

    Special Effects:

I would divide each type of effect to make this look more organized but I'm too lazy to investigate each effect Man of Steel had. Anyways...

    The special effects were amazing. Fantastic. Incredible. In other words, it was something that it made the movie look like a special effect bomb (in a good way). The way Superman speedblitzed was awesome. The part where the ground shook, the rocks moving and the sound barrier breaking was all that made the flight look sensational. The fighting and action scenes were all realistic. Explosions. Mid-air fights. All of which had amazing looks. My favorite part is when (this is written in binary due to no spoiler block option, check a binary translator) 01010011 01110101 01110000 01100101 01110010 01101101 01100001 01101110 00100000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01100110 01101001 01100111 01101000 01110100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110100 01100101 01110010 01110010 01100001 01100110 01101111 01110010 01101101 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01101101 01100001 01100011 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100101 00101110 00100000 01010100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110011 01110000 01100101 01100011 01101001 01100001 01101100 00100000 01100101 01100110 01100110 01100101 01100011 01110100 01110011 00100000 01101001 01101110 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100001 01110100 00100000 01110011 01100011 01100101 01101110 01100101 00100000 01110111 01100001 01110011 00100000 01100001 00100000 01110010 01100101 01100001 01110011 01101111 01101110 00100000 01110111 01101000 01111001 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01110011 01101000 01101111 01110101 01101100 01100100 01101110 00100111 01110100 00100000 01110011 01110100 01101111 01110000 00100000 01110111 01100001 01110100 01100011 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01001101 01100001 01101110 00100000 01101111 01100110 00100000 01010011 01110100 01100101 01100101 01101100 00101110

The special effects was the best, IMO.

    What I Didn't Like:

The only thing I didn't like was the development of the story in the half of the movie. I think it was boring TBH. Backstories. Flashbacks. Meh. Fight scenes? Awesome. Fight scenes in Smallville? Pfft, why not in a city instead of a town? But I do understand that they did it for better perception of others. Especially me, who doesn't know much about Superman. At least we got the action with the effects and we got that going on for us which is nice.

    Opinions:

This is most likely better than The Avengers from 2012. I still like Avengers though.

The upcoming DC movies (Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad) is something I've been hyped for now after watching Man of Steel. If the effects in the Dawn of Justice trailer were awesome, I can't imagine how incredible they'd be in theatres. And Suicide Squad, it's a villain film. I've never seen or heard of a villain film in my whole life. And I'd like to know how one could work out fine. One of the reasons why I'm gonna watch Suicide Squad. Reasons why I'm gonna watch Dawn of Justice? Special effects. Other reasons? How the story's gonna be.

I like how DC movies are but I wouldn't like it to be so dark. The darkness in Man of Steel made me ZZZ. I hope the same thing doesn't happen in Dawn of Justice or Suicide Squad.

Other than that, hyped I am.

    Notes:

First review. Take it easy and tell me the mistakes I've done. If I did any.

Bringing Superman into the 21st Century 0

I've been a fan of Superman for as long as I can recall, having grown up watching the 90's Animated series, and the earlier films, and although Batman became my favourite superhero, Superman isn't far behind. The more recent Superman films have not been kind to the Man of Tomorrow, with Superman Returns, and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace being very poor, and Superman III also not being too great. This however is the perfect time to rectify that.PlotSPOILER FREEWhen Krypton starts to destroy i...

Snyder delivers on his modern day take of the Man of Steel 0

Man of Steel ReviewSnyder delivers on his modern day take of the Man of Steel in a large way. For years fans of Superman have been pining for a chance to see The Last Son of Krypton be pitted against a villain that didn’t require trickery; someone who could go toe-to-toe with a man who is a god, for all intents and purposes, and give as good as they got without the gimmick of a certain rare and precious element showing up magically by the truckload. You can rest assured that this is the case in ...
