With his new-found abilities, the cunning and sadistic Basilisk has caused carnage across the globe and faced heroes ranging from the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, to Captain Marvel and the Punisher.
Hercules first met and battled Man-Bull during his depowered time as the defender of Brooklyn. It was during this time that Hercules recruited Man-Bull to join him in opposing Kyknos, son of Ares, and his cult-like following. Hercules and Man-Bull fought the good fight against Kyknos with the aid of two other former villains; Basilisk and Griffin.

Bruno Horgan is a former competitor of Tony Stark. He becomes the Melter and is considered one of Iron Man's deadliest foes. The Melter is eventually killed by the Scourge of the Underworld.
Mr. Kline hired Bill Taurens to find subjects to experiment a super-serum with. When Taurens failed, Kline volunteered Taurens to test the serum, turning him into the Man-Bull.
The Owl aided the Man-Bull in escaping from prison with the intent of hiring him as a bodyguard, then he was sent to kidnap Prof. Brent Kerwin. Later he briefly worked as an enforcer for Owlsley.
