In a stunningly terrifying, post-apocalyptic world created by director George Miller nobody is safe. The film stars Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky; a member of the MFP (Main Force Patrol) who has become sick and tired of his job. The desolate and never-ending stretches of highway that litter the Australian outback have been transformed into battlegrounds; stained with blood and covered in scraps of the drivers and vehicles that came before.
The world became a more violent and terrifying place with the introduction of savage biker gangs; roaming the wastes searching for those whom they can torture, rape and murder, their sick and twisted way of life. Max; who desires retirement, is brought back into the game after one of these gangs end up fatally injuring his best friend, Goose, while also killing Max's wife and child.
Far past his breaking point, Max ventures back into the wastelands in a souped-up V8 designed for speed and carnage.
