    Plotting to overthrow her father, the Duke of Deception, Lya gathered support from Deception's female worshipers.  She banished her father from the throne, but was deceived and she and her allies were sent to Earth.  She immediately found Wonder Woman, who she tricked into stealing her lasso.  With the magic lasso, Lya forced Wonder Woman to aid her in her plot against Deception.  However, after disguising herself as the super-heroine, she was caught by Steve Trevor.  Wonder Woman subsequently defeated Lya and sent her to Transformation Island.
