So, this is probably pure nostalgia but when I saw that Legion will be joining the fight I got a little excited.
Caveat, the only Legion story I've read was "Legion Quest". This is the first story arc I had to go to cons to pick up the books, so I guess I'm tainted by memories on this one (probably why I actually dig the Onslaught Saga - the story, not the art or all the blasted "tie-ins").
So while I go zip over to the Legion page here to do some research, what are your thoughts on the demented love child's return? Does he redeem himself? Does he leave and fight X-Man in a battle of the Omegas? Does he hate Scott for seemingly usurping Charles?
Legion
Character » Legion appears in 690 issues.
The son of Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller, David Haller is the powerful Omega-level mutant known as Legion. He possesses hundreds of mutant abilities ranging from telekinesis to reality warping, but each power is controlled by a different persona, which could be either benevolent or malevolent.
Anyone else kind of excited for Legion?
This was an excellent decision. =) Exodus should definitely join the fight too. That would we an interesting team-up.
Let's be real, is there enough time to jam all of this in before the end of the crossover? I think not.
By the way, this may have been covered somewhere else, but wouldn't it be better to have a stand alone issue of the modified X-Force team in the future and have the "present day" X-Men dealing with their threat? Or is this a little too similar to "Messiah War", "Cable, vol 3", etc?
I'm not entirely sure he won't try to kill the X-Men.
" @Leliel: I was disappointed with Legion's debut in Second Coming, to be honest. "It was a 'blink & you've missed it' cameo. I don't know why they bothered to resurrect Legion. They obviously don't know what to do with him. No-one's even bothered to explain HOW he's come back from the dead or why he has more personalities in his head than there are mutants left on Earth-616. Such a waste.
I was thinking of Hope because they both have a vast amount of powers and everybody, including Xavier, treats her like a messiah and treat him like a criminal/weapon
Did Legion run off or flee after destroying those two Nimrods or was what happened with him next never addressed?
" @xerox-kitty said:He need to cut his hair and get straighten up his the future leader of the X-Men as Xavier's only descendant" @Edamame said:I completely agree. Legion only was in the comics for like 5 pages. He only took down two Nimrods. It was rather preposterous. I feel like the first half of Second Coming was the better part. The only good part of the last half of Second Coming was the last X-Force issue. My opinion though. "" @Leliel: I was disappointed with Legion's debut in Second Coming, to be honest. " @Leliel said:someone please the character exist this long without any changes his being the insane multi-personality kid of Xavier foreverHe need to cut his hair and get straighten up his the future leader of the X-Men as Xavier's only descendant "LOL. Visit the barber? "
" Lol, boy is Cyclops face gonna be red when someone finally asks "So...where IS Legion?" and he realizes he forgot all about it. "
