    Where did you hear this from?

    Also, Hal destroyed the central Power Battery, so the remaining guardians (who have reserve amounts of GL energy inside themselves) sacrificed themselves to make Kyle's ring, with Ganthet the only Guardian left alive......

    Kyle still had to recharge his ring in a lantern so I doubt his ring alone held the energy........

    Merc might come in with more in depth info later, I have the issues at home that go into this, but I don't remember the numbers off-hand........

    Basically Kyle's ring had no yellow weakness, and no 24-hour time-limit (just needed to recharge depending on how much energy is used)....

    It also does not have the automatic shielding the previous GL rings had (shown when Halas Parallax came and took Kyle's ring then was not protected from a falling shelf, from when Kyle mentioned this difference to Hal at a different time, and evident when Effigy's constructs burned Kyle when he wasn't looking, and Kyle mentioned he wasn't able to get his shields up fast enough).......

    It is keyed to Kyle's genetic code, so no one else can use it, (though when Kyle was sent to the future, a descendant of his was able to use it, because of her DNA).....

    I don't know how it came to be keyed to Kyle's DNA, I just noticed Kyle saying this later in the GL series, and tthat there were instances it came into play.........

    That was the start of it.......

    Later Kyle becomes omnipotent as Ion, then gives up omnipotence, but first makes a few more changes to his ring.......

    He makes it so his ring always comes back to him automatically if taken away, and made sure it always has at least some reserve energy in it for if an emergency arises.........

    @velle37:
    what about when Kyle created his own little GLC if you will or when he subcounsciously created Oblivion and the powerset he had..... or when he reconstructed the one ship from the "Heavens Ladder" arc (not sure it thats the name).  It just seems like his ring had more juice or somthing....

    As of now that hasn't been explained........

    Oblivion and that GLC were created from his subconcious, which he was able to reabsorb into himself, afterward didn't need to recharge his ring for months......

    This led to him being Ion in the Hand of God story arc, so it's possible this energy was the residual energy from the Central Power Battery that made these constructs (since Parralax was dead now, and in the Hand of God story arc, Kyle talks about being more than Oblivion or Parallax, and that the energies from both had to go somewhere, so it was presumably to the last GL ring)........

    What happened in Heaven's ladder?......
