    Origin

    Kiwi Black was one of the many mutants fathered by Azazel with the aim of freeing him and the rest of the Neyaphem. After surviving a ritual that was meant to free the Neyaphem, Kiwi Black fought against his father alongside the X-Men. He was depowered by M-Day. 

     

    Creation 

    Created by Chuck Austen and artist Philip Tan, Kiwi Black first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #429. Kiwi Black is one of a few Maori characters in mainstream comic books.
