    Origin

    Kara was working as a paramedic when she and her partner were called in to action after a roadside accident. One of the "victims" of the accident was Bloodshot who initially took Kara hostage to help him discover his past. After the interception of Project Rising Spirit and finding out more about Bloodshot "creation", Kara volunteered to help him take down P.R.S. in exchange for Bloodshot helping her critically injured brother.

    Creation

    Kara Murphy was created by writer Duane Swierczynski and artists Arturo Lozzi and Manuel Garcia. She first appeared in the story "Bloodshot Part 2: Get Your Gun" in Bloodshot #2 (Aug. 2012).

    Major Story Arcs

    After teaming up with Bloodshot and the teenage psiot Pulse, Kara infiltrated The Nursery, one of Project Rising Spirit's secret bases. There she was captured until being rescued by the nanites in Bloodshot's blood. After escaping, Kara managed to disable Command, the leader of P.R.S.'s superhuman team Chainsaw. Eventually Kara and Bloodshot escaped The Nursery and she is currently helping Bloodshot take care of the young psiots they rescued.
