Raised by the Ugarnas tribe in Africa after his father rescued themfrom Arab slavers Kalthar is wild, cunning and strong, as well as having the ability to talk to animals, or at least elephants.
Called Kal-Thar, which means God Son, he was gifted by Ta-Lo the witch doctor of the Ugarna with two types of magic grain, red grain which causes him to grow until he is 15 feet tall, while also making him almost impervious to harm, and a green grain that returns him to normal.
