    Kaine was the first clone of Spider-Man created by the Jackal. He was suffering from clone degeneration and became an assassin and spent years tormenting his clone brother, Ben Reilly. He has since taken up the mantle his now dead brother as the new Scarlet Spider.

    Hello All. I have recently decided to get into the Scarlet Spider (kaine) storyline, and had a few questions. Is this story arc going to be the main/long lasting story arc or is it just a short term story arc? I have noticed that issues come out once a month and was wondering if i should just wait until trade paperback or try and pick up the separate issues at a store.

    Well at the moment they seem to be building up to a main story. At the moment we've been learning lots of small things about the characters that will probably all tie together later.
