Mr. Not So Terrific
Dr. Chaos Comes to town just in time to destroy monument Point before the Justice Society of America can completely rebuild it. Plus, Blue Devil pitches in!
The Review:
Well I will say one thing this book and series thus far, under the direction of Marc Guggenheim, has been kind of faster paced and action filled. However, I can't pin point a feeling that just keeps me from loving this book. No, it's not the team, which I love. No, it's the art, Kolins I love too! So I really can't pinpoint what it is. This issue I came away feeling the same as the last couple. We had a good movement of the story and as noted the pace is great. The hook at the end certainly has me coming back next month. Mr. Terrific is still losing his intelligence. He does do something, or least it is eluded that he did it, that is totally out of character. One doesn't need to be extremely smart to retain his moral core. So I'm expecting that this may have been a red herring.
Conclusion:
I love the pace and the art but there is something that just doesn't make me gush about this book. I am on board for now. I will give Marc Guggenheim and Scott Kolins more time because their run is way better than Willingham's.
