    A few weeks ago in JLA 14, they mentioned the GodSlayer, a weapon capable of killing the animal gods. But one of its victimes was "a mysterious Alien Sun God". Could this be an early Kryptonian, a Meta Like Apollo, Rao himself, or something else?

    We know that E-2 Superman was refereed to as a "Sun God" by "The Green"

    In one of the more recent superman issues he is pictured shirtless with a scar on his back ? Also the current H'el on earth story line seems to involve time travel of some sort so maybe he was the victim of the dagger? maybe they just assumed it killed him when really he just left via time travel? .... either way i really hope it will be addressed at some point.

    Wasn't Krypton's sun God called Rao or something? Maybe Krypton was destroyed because it's sun God was.

    That is a good theory actually... -_^;

    Depending on the timing it could possible, it seems close. Some consideration I would point out is that RAO should not have been on that plain of existence as the Kryptonian Gods left it after their battle with Cythonna...unless that was rebooted. Based on comments I've read, Rao is supposed to be powerful, like top tier, so not sure if he should be grouped with gods on Cheetah's level, unless he was depowered/weakened, as there was a great evil behind the knife's creation.

    If they could tie either of these into H'el's mission, somehow, I think this could work.

    @Squalleon:

    Apparently Obama Superman didn't get the job done, but hey, Romney Superman would have joined Superdoom's team until they came across someone who could beat them. XD

    Possibly. Rao's fate was never shown.
