After what the reboot has done, I'm thinking I'd rather have John then Hal. And I'm a Hal wanking fanboy. Plus it'd be nice to have J'onn back. And Wally....sooooo much Wally : )

Number 2 is more suitable for a film but I like to see number 1 back in the comics.

Marvel's quite the opposite.

What's going on in the comics has to be more in line with what's going on in the movies...

Option 2. I'd miss the Martian Manhunter but it would probably be best for DC if they backed the line-up that they're currently publishing in the comics. Plus, I just like Hal. I don't care what happened in the Green Lantern movie (didn't even bother to see it), but with a good script Hal could be Han Solo with a power ring.

I couldn't agree more with this. I think the only reason people like John is because he appeared in Justice League, that's it.

Option 1, but reference the fact that there are other Lanterns. It makes me mad when people go "I thought Green Lantern was black?", and get upset that the one featured in the movie and animated series is white.

I prefer Hal as well. However, I think that John worked so well in the Animated Series because he was really good counter-point to Wally. John's short-temper and military discipline worked well in contrast to the Flash's cocky and impulsive nature. However, I'm guessing they're going to use Barry in the movie and he always worked better next to Hal. I think John is a fine character but you have to consider team dynamics. Barry and John are both too conservative to have an interesting give and take.

Truthfully I like Hal from the Justice League New 52 comic. His dynamic with the Flash and the rest of the team was perfect to me. Instead of the traditional Hal we see on tv who is cocky, but like able; instead we get a still cocky yet condescending obnixious a-hole. For example, I love how he kept asking why their listening to a guy without superpowers aka Batman. Truthfully, it works perfectly because it allows him to balance out the team and create real world conflict similar to the conflict created by all the big egos in Avengers movie. And this version of Hal also balances out well specifically with the kind hearted Flash. They make a good, good cop bad cop team, as the comics pointed out. Also, it makes it so that other fan favs like Batman and Superman dont have to be the a-hole.

@MadeinBangladesh - As I keep pointing out to everyone, the New 52 Justice League founders are all meant to be characters who originally appeared in the Superfriends cartoon series. This is because the Superfriends had a profound influence on many older fans love of the DCU. That's why characters like Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman are considered premier members. They introduced Cyborg, I imagine, because he adds much needed diversity to the team, but more important, because he Is an ethnic character who originates from the DCU who was on the Superfriends cartoon. As opposed to the other ethnic characters, who all originally belonged to Hanna Barbera. Most people forgot Cyborg because they introduced him during the last season of the show. I think he even helped fight Darkside in an episode which he appeared. In essence, they didn't use Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl because they weren't in the Superfriends cartoon.

I don't think Martian Manhunter should be apart of it considering the low audience for him plus his powers would seem to make things pretty redundant for the others. Shapeshifting, intangability, and a whole load of others. Superman,WW, and GL are enough as power houses.

Why not, he barely has an audience so why put him in? His powers literally make half the things the JLA do redundant I mean when you can phase through anything what is there that's so challenging?

I know MM has always been apart of the JLA but if he can't even get an audience after the past how many years then it's understandable they would replace him.

Option 1.

I love Hal Jordan and he is the more iconic GL, but John Stewart was in the animated series, is a great character, and adds some much needed diversity.

But it has to be Barry instead of Wally.

This. Not only that, but if Wally is used as Flash, that would rule him out of a possible Teen Titans spinoff.

Yeah especially since Wally's origin wouldn't make sense without Barry. But :O I didn't even think of a Teen Titans spinoff! That would be pretty awesome.

(Still think they should do an animated movie with spin off tv series that lead into individual movies/crossovers. Just saying)

I'm torn. The only way I will see a League movie is if Manhunter is in it, but I don't want John as GL. I'll say one, but there is a problem with both.
