Then again it was also promised that the Atom, Lady Luck, Mera, Firestorm, Deadman and Green Arrow (who isn't joining the regular League) would be joining. And let's not forget that Shazam is supposed to be enlisted in the regular team too.

Interesting to see the Flashpoint version of Element Woman, I really liked her during the cross over and would be happy to see her but I'd rather see good old Metamorpho. We know he exists in the New 52 from the recruitment image from JLI. It's a shame, I hope he does appear soon. I think he not only has interesting powers but a unique heroic personality. Very off beat I think from the usual Hero mindset. He was also one of the handful of characters that got me interested in DC comics. Oh well, I'm sure he'll show up eventually and I am more than happy with Element Woman!

Interesting and usual roster choices but diffinitely a pick up for me.

I like katana on the team, it should be all killers and no fillers on this team. While they're at it it would be good of them to kill the original JL.

@JayMar89: He wouldn't work on JLA IMO. It looks like a Secret Avengers esque team and Shazam looks like he'll be a very public hero just like he was pre New 52. Besides why would he appear in the JL back up then not join the team. JLA wouldn't fit Shazam's style. As for the roster changing with a JLA movie in the works, that's perfectly fine too. Part of the charm of a team is that members come and go and are replaced by new blood. They can't keep it the same until the movie comes out and I'm sure events in Justice League will reflect the movie. That is if there ever is one. It's still in the works.

This could be cool , i wish JLI was still around. JL , JLA and JLI would make for very interesting storyline interactions in the New 52. The WORLD TEAM , The HOME TEAM and the INTERNATIONAL TEAM. Don't know much about JLDark.

This seems like a really interesting line up of characters and I'm really considering of picking it up when it comes out. But since its a new title and DC is trying to stay with the whole 52 titles, which current title is getting cancelled? Also, if Shazam was added to the lineup then the team would really be bad ass.

@JonSmith: LOL, just noticed. Yeah it seems odd what with everyone giving their all and Batman jumping around with a rock tied to him.

I just read that he's supposed to be Arab-AMERICAN. When I first saw him I thought "yeah, finally, a Lantern who's not from the USA", but they just did it again. I mean, why do they always have to be American? Just about 5% of the world's population live in the USA and our earth isn't even the only planet in space sector 2814. It's completely uncredible that 5 American GLs were chosen.

The new line-up is very interesting and different it should make for some good reading. I wonder if DC will cancel the books Catwoman, Hawkman and Green Arrow since they will be joining the League. As for Hal, I think Hal is going to die and become the greatest black lantern. When he dies, Baz will inherit the ring. Since Sinestro created it, the guardians have no control over the ring and it seeks out a new host. The third army will then be defeated by Hal as the new black lantern by him resurrecting all the dead green lantern corps members from the past.

I can definitely imagine Hawkman getting cancelled, but Catwoman and GA seem a little more unlikely.

I like how Steve is part of these JL teams in someway. Now that he is going too be part of a JL team he can have more of say in what the team does. Catwomen part of a JL sounds strange. She has never been part of hero team besides helping out the Bat Family when they need or when she feels like. That being said I have not yet read a issue of her new comic too see were her character has gone. I can't wait too see were Johns is going too take this book. The characters in this JL is going too be interesting how they develop as characters and a team. I hope they do a JL crossover down the line with all of these JL teams beside JLI. R.I.P. JLI, now everyone knows what book was going too replace you now.

yawn... another thing added to the New 52 to keep peoples' attention that'll probably pewter out after five or six issues... like just about EVERY New 52 book on the market that doesn't have big names attached to them.

im sure they will try to make Baz interesting but if they wanted someone gl that knows how to use a gun why not just go with John Stewart? He has been made famous from his time on the JL animated series and in the New 52 there is no mention of the JL knowing him so it could still work the same and he has always had his strong opinions

@giarcx: I don't see them cancelling any of those purely because there on a team, after all Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, and Batman (x5) all get there own adventures.

I personally would like to see them cancel Green Arrow because its the only comic worse then Superman imo.

Huge fan of Catwoman here so definitely looking forward to anything with her in it even if the artist needs to be a bit more mindful of the ears (looks like pig ears to me, anyone else agree?) Not thrilled with Baz's concept for all the above criticisms listed but am trying to keep as open of a mind as possible (love the diversity but for the life of me can't wrap my head around the gun)

Overall its an odd lineup why katanna over team 7 vet Black Canary? Not to mention 4 non-powered humans seems odd if they are going to go up against whatever remains of the Original League (sans Hal and theoretically Aquaman since he might be trying to invade the surface world now)

I am so excited for this book.

@Benjoman: I agree completely. I know only one expection to the rule - Kai-ro, Green Lantern from Nanda Parbat. The others are Americans.
