The DC fighting game by NetherRealm Studios is almost here and I'm ridiculously excited. Every little bit of info they throw our way right now is something to get giddy about. The lucky folks over at CVG got their hands on an exclusive new video. The sweet cinematic reveals more about the story (who's on which side and why) and reveals some of Lex Luthor's attacks!

Enjoy keeping this one on loop for the next hour or so.

As you might recall, Lex Luthor and Bane were previously announced via a magazine. While I'd love to see a video of Bane in action, I'd prefer a new reveal or two instead! If you're excited for the game, don't forget to check out the prequel digital comic every Tuesday!

'Injustice: Gods Among Us' will come out April 19th and, if you have the cash, there's a fairly awesome Battle Edition and Collector's Edition available.

It seems that it's another story of Superman going bad? How about one where Batman goes bad.

Huh, it looks like they've modified the costumes designs a bit. It looked like the silver/grey accents on Batman's mask were gone and I think Wonder Woman's costume looked a little different as well.

So the "bad guys" are Supes, WW, and Flash.

I didn't really get that from the trailer. I just kinda feel like they are all going a little bit more "all out". Though you could be totally right. As a HUGE Flash fan, I'd love to see him as a villain.

1. I'm very bad at fighting games and their story mode is usually bad (not the case with this one)

2. I'm not interested in seeing another Kingdom Come inspired rehash where Superman takes control and establishes a dictatorial regime. That's something Superman would never, ever do for anything in the world, not even Lois' death would prompt that.

1. Plot Device is my guess.

2. Depends on how they deal with Cyborgs personality in this version. I'm more inclined to think he'd be on Batman's side and given that Supes is ruling with an iron fist I'm assuming all the villains would be in Bat's side with the exception of guys like The Joker and Harley and Grundy and Doomsday. I guess my only real question is which guys would technically be on the Superman's side, it's way too easy to assume why people would be against Superman in this situation but I'm not drawing up many names at the moment of people that would support his regime.

So Nightwing will beat the sh!t out of Batman in-story? SOLD!

Flash and Wonder Woman just seemed off to me. I do think they could have come up with a better premise other than Superman gone bad again. It's never been done in a video game tho but I'm unfortunately not expecting much from the story here

Disagree, in terms of fighting games MK is known to be the best easily...and at least put effort into it. Besides, the MK team primarily aren't writing the story, it's done by DC guys FYI the MK guys are working with them...

That's definitely Tim Daly as Superman though. Mark Hamill retired from doing the Joker. No one thought he was serious, but I guess he's staying true to his word. :(

It's a fighting game, you don't need to explain how Batman, Lex or even how Joker could fight Wonder Woman or Doomsday.
