I am so ready for September. Pretty damn pumped for it. Mostly for Scott Snyder's titles.

Jim Lee's Redesigned Justice League Fully Revealed

Zealot has one too. it COULD be Scandal but it looks exactly like Zealot. but hey i could be totally wrong, no reason to give up hope
Yeah i'm also going to have to agree with the age thing, they do look rather young. Whats that proportionality with age comes wisdom. Plus it kind reminds me of little league hockey with all the pads and extra protective gear!
Superman...eh, maybe
wonder woman.....wait, no just some hooker
aquaman....good
batman....good
flash.....good
martian ma-......nvm. what the hell is cyborg doing here

You are most likely right. And I appreciate you pointing it out. I wouldn't want to get my hopes up too high. Besides, I read a tweet (from a reliable source) today that has me confident for the Secret Six making some appearances in the near future. Besides, Scandal has no business with these heroes, unless they are hunting her down or want her to do some dirty job. I wouldn't want Scandal to turn into a full blown hero. I like her as a bad girl.
I am going to pick this Justice book up anyways. I like the idea of having another WW book in my stack. And I am so happy to have WW around that I am going to embrace her new look and not b*tch about the pants. :D
edit; wording
Oh-kay…before I get into my well-thought-out critique, I’ll start with my top ten pop culture quotes that fit my feelings toward this unveiling today:
1. Dom DeLuise as the film director in ‘Blazing Saddles’: “WROOONG!!!”
2. ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic’s ‘I Can’t Watch This’: “It sucks, and that’s-no-lie, it’s about as much fun as watching paint dry…”
3. Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman in “The Critic”: “It STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!”
4. The Sea Captain in an episode of ‘The Simpsons’:”Y’arr, she blows!”
5. Marge Simpson in one episode: “Those fudruckers!”
6. Grandpa Simpson in a flashback in the episode ‘Mother Simpson’: “Booooo!!! Bring on Sha-Na-Naaaa!!!”
7. Brian Griffin in the Family Guy episode ‘April in Quahog’: “Those DICKS!”
8. The Who’s ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’: “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”
9. ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic’s parody ‘Won’t Eat Prunes Again’: “Eat the new sauce, same as the old sauce.”
10. Pretty much everybody: “What the heck is this?!?!?!?!?”
Now, my formal critique:
This, people, is NOT the Justice League. It may resemble the Justice League. It may have members from a classic lineup; it may have some new people; but this gaggle of redesigned super-people bears more of a resemblance to a group of late-teen to twenty-something pop idols garbed in the (now seam-crazy) colors of our childhood heroes and heroines–either that, or the cast of “The OC” at a masquerade. This League is nothing more than a mere shell of its former self. Most of the costume choices reek of a decade almost everyone wants to forget (the 1990′s, of course), the lineup apparently is bereft of the supposed “diversity” DC claims to be committing to, and Superman greatly looks as if he sold out because of the lawsuit that seeks to undermine his status as an icon of popular culture. I will say that adding Deadman and Mera is intriguing, but simply displacing the Martian Manhunter is an unwise move. Why they decided to add (if that mysterious woman is indeed Miranda Shrieve) Buffy the Vampire Slayer and an imitator of Metamorpho is beyond me. This is a team that would work in a feature film; this is not a team for comic books. It’s as if they were redesigned in order to sell a line of clothing, a young adult book series, or a toy series…a toy series where every character comes with an action feature that sacrificed poseabilitity or playability. This is not the Justice League; this is a poorly-designed costume party on Halloween night, whose wearers have no idea of the history behind each of the characters they dress as.
Enough already with the Aquaman stereotype! He doesn't just talk to fish!!! What is it with you people?????
Yeah they are. One of the things they wanted to do to help reach more of an audience was to make their characters younger.
Wonder Woman still looks too casual to me, like someone just in regular clothes. And Superman really looks to me like a human head and arms on a robot body. Everyone else is alright, although Cyborg to me is a tad too robotic (almost as much as Superman :P)
I know a lot of people have been complaining about superman's new costume but maybe this is an excuse for how his costume won't get destroyed in battle because it is made from some kind of kryptonian armor.
Some young, brash hero meets Superman for the first time. "Hey, Superman! Why do you wear your underwear on the outside? It looks stupid."
Superman smiles. "I know this may sound funny to today's jaded and cynical youth, but some things are just tradition. I don't know about you, but I don't think there's anything wrong with respecting tradition."
What actually happened:
Superman's publishers worried he looked stupid to today's jaded and cynical youth, so they changed him.
I don't think they look that bad. One of the things that really stands out is Superman's younger look.
Johns just twitted that the mysterious woman ain't a blonde. So that takes care of Black Canary and unless there was a major redesign also Powergirl.
I'm saying now more than ever that it is Zealot
Why do you think they're uninteresting? The reason why most titles get canned: there are people who don't bother to either make the protagonist and antagonists interesting (writers and artists) or people who don't at least try to find something interesting (the readers).
anyone remember power rangers the movie? when the designers took the spandex and made it into REAL ARMOR? this is exactly what jim did... SUPERMAN HAS SHOULDER ARMOR! SHOULDER ARMOR! i say it again! SHOULDER! ARMOR!Looks more like just armor, given that's good enough to varying degrees for Thor, his crew, Wonder Woman, and Mr. Majestic, I'm fine with it.
And hopefully it'll provide some lead based protection to prevent lazy writing where once again the Man of Tomorrow is surprised by some random badguy with Special K of varying colors.
Also, the fins won't help Aqua Man swim faster.
totally agrre with @mikeclark1982: why would the world's most powerful heroes needs an armor....WHY???????Is Thor not powerful?
Better question, why would a guy that fights supersmart people with time and money or PLANETS on their side and has SEVERAL obvious vulnerabilities (from magic, to kryptonite, to red sunlight) and is himself supersmart, NOT do something to give himself some backup in case some bald jerkwad tries to put him in another death trap?
A FRESH coat of paint on the SAME old characters...nothing more.
The stories were lacking, NOT the appearance.
@sesquipedalophobe: Enough already with the Aquaman stereotype! He doesn't just talk to fish!!! What is it with you people?????Same groupthink that made "Beam me up Scotty!" so iconic, despite it never happening. People "know" Aquaman is lame because a source no less exalted as the lazy writing of a 1970's Saturday morning cartoon apparently said so.
And you know what kids love these days? Pirates and ninjas. Why not retcon Aquaman into a pirate whose ship sank to Atlantis? He could have a whole crew of pirate teammates. And Green Arrow can be a well trained ninja who throws trick ninja stars and calls himself Green Shuriken. Once you realize that the best creative model is to copy current fads, writing is easy!@dorsk188 said:

So the guys get to wear armour that covers everything except the face, but WW, the Amazon warrior has to show skin ...
It's just one picture, but I get the feeling we are seeing the old Jim Lee problem again, he either does a fantastic job or makes a complete mess of things. And it looks pretty messy to me. Pretty much changing for change's sake without any really interesting idea to back it up.
On the other hand it's just one picture and other artists will have to fly with this. Let's just wait and see.
so uuhh...im not up to date but why is martian manhunter not here and what exactly is different with them minus supes age/underwear and the new lines all over their clothing [aka armor]...
oh and why is cyborg here? im so used to him being a teen titan..lol
Hmmm...For the most part, I really dig the look. The only thing I'm not really that into though is the segmented armor look on Superman. It just feels...so outta character to me.
That and Wonder Woman's color scheme makes me think "goth".
I'm not really noticing a huge change in Aquaman's look.
i hate these exclusive stuff, i always have to pay a lot to get these from eBay lol, im already eyeing the Superboy Young Justice cloning chamber figure...propably gonna get this too...
but on the picture... argh, its always the females that are so difficult to identify in these pictures! could the one in the left be Zatanna or Doctor Light base on the headpiece/crown??? Zatanna use to have that lobster headpiece when she wore the costume with the cape, and Doctor Light always had a crown headpiece. The bottom girl on the right looks like Mera... i want to say the one on top of that one is Black Canary, but doubt it...
