JLA: Classified.
I dont know that one.
@justthatkid: Justice League? More like Justice Army!
@justthatkid: So sad there never came a season 3:(
@smashbrawler: How come Orion joined the League?
@waezi2: He and Barda were designated to be Earth's protectors against Mageddon by the rest of the New Gods. If you haven't read Morrison's JLA you should do so ASAP.
@smashbrawler: I have, it's just been a while.
Morrison, Kelly and Waid run back at late 90's early 00's for me. With McDuffie's Animated League as close second.

Agreed, JLA is what got me into comics when I was younger
I like every incarnation of Justice League. But my fav is definitely from Justice League Doom animated movie and DC Animated Universe
I like the full lineup in the original series with all of the members who joined pre-Detroit. I've never read this era of stories, and I'm sure these stories from back when the Comics Code Authority reigned supreme would not hold water to the stories of the current eras. However, I fell like if stories were written today with this classic lineup or even a lineup where this classic lineup is the base, it would be all kinds of epic. For those of you who don't know, the original League consisted of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and the Martian Manhunter. They first teamed up to battle the Appalaxian aliens. The League was joined by nine more members prior to the restructurizaion of the League in the Detroit era. These members were, in the order they joined. Green Arrow, the Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, Hawkgirl, Zatanna, and Firestorm. I also really liked the lineup in the Young Justice cartoon because I felt it was heavily based on this lineup. They added some other mainstays such as John Stewart, Captain Atom, and Captain Marvel, which I felt was entirely appropriate. Though Giovanni "John" Zatara was never a member of the League, the way they made him one in that cartoon to become Dr. Fate was ingenious. And If anyone from the original Silver Age lineup is unimportant, it's Elongated Man. I feel like if they just added a few more characters such as Kyle Rayner, Steel (Irons), Firestorm, Cyborg, and possibly Vixen due to her inclusion in the runs by Brad Metlzer and Dwayne McDuffie and Alan Burnett, it would be perfect.
I preferred the silver age line up too. I would prolly stick with the 10 i.e. the original 7 plus GA, Atom(Ray Palmer) & Hawkman(Katar Hol), maybe Black Canary. Instead of Elongated Man & Red Tornado I would add Plastic Man & Captain Marvel(Shazam) But for me the first 10 members truly held up as the World's Greatest Super-Heroes. In the silver age they each had their own series(all but GA & Manhunter had their own books), so it was truly special with them teaming together as the JLA.
This. Plus the rest of the Silver Age Leaguers (Elongated Man, Atom, Black Canary, etc)
Grant Morrison JLA, Geoff Johns new 52 Justice League, The original silver age Justice League and Timmverse JL
oh btw Robinson JLA run is terrible and horrible. It is weird considering he write some of the best comics for example Starman etc
The Silver Age League is my favorite. It has every hero that should be on a team making up the world's greatest heroes. I also don't mind Plastic Man and Captain Marvel being in the a League with the Silver Age heroes. They deserve it too. Both were stars for their original companies. I am amazed how no decided to bring this line up back. New 52 could've gave them a great chance though instead they decided to separate them all. The main 6 are still together though Green Lantern spends too much time in space nowadays. Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, and Green Arrow are all on Justice League United. Zatanna is with the darker characters now. Hawkgirl is on a different Earth while the Atom does very small things in the universe. Black Canary does her own things with the Birds of Prey? Metamorpho, Elongated Man, and Red Tornado cease to exist the new universe while Plastic Man is referenced though never appeared. The only thing DC did that made sense for the Justice League is adding Captain Marvel to the main team.
