    There is a strange obsession with making "year one"s for everything going around. But of all the characters in comicdom, or even pop culture in general, that need a back story, Dredd has to be towards the absolute bottom of the list. Do we really want to know who he is, where he came from, what's under the helmet? I don't. But, this is a pretty harmless issue.
