    Joker is yet again a patient in Arkham Asylum. Batman visits him to ask him if he knows anything about the Black Glove, but Joker only responds by dealing a Dead man's hand. During routine therapy, Joker is met by a spy for the Club of Villains who offers him a chance to join them in their crusade against Batman. Joker later appears as a member of Libra's Secret Society of Super Villains.

    Than if you read Batman RIP that is the last you see of him, but mark my words he will be back after someone is established as Batman, for however long that is.

    Batman's not dead. He's displaced in time. If your a Batman fan, or even a Joker fan, then you should read Batman RIP (in fact start at the beginning of Grant Morrison's run) you wont regret it. And of course if you do read it and have questions, the Vine is full of people with answers/theories.

    i know he is at the beginning of time or whatever. i read like the first  third and last issues of batman RIP same with final crisis. i just wasnt very interested in either. final crisis i figured i would just pick up tpb.
