Should John Dimaggio Voice Joker Again?
Back to the post at hand. Yes, John Dimaggio did a surprisingly good job as the Joker in Under the Red Hood, and would be a welcome successor to Mark Hamill
" Back to the post at hand. Yes, John Dimaggio did a surprisingly good job as the Joker in Under the Red Hood, and would be a welcome successor to Mark Hamill "(Thumbs up). I agree completely. I wouldn't mind if the Red Hood cast took over as the Batverse voices after Conroy and Hamill leave.
Dimaggio was good, he had a good Joker laugh but there were some moments I wasn't too sure of his Joker. There's a lot to live up to with Mark Hamill who has really embodied the voice of the Joker, much like Conroy is the voice of Batman. But I'll take Bender as Skywalker's replacement.

And thanks to all those who agree with me, i mean hey next he plays joker again just ask him to have a roller coaster ride with you see he could practice a crazy high laugh!
He didn't do a bad job, but... (and there is a but)
At times I felt him chanelling Ledger's Joker, whose version was way too somber for me; a deep menacing voice okay, but the face should reflect a bit of hysterics to temper Ledger's doom and gloom.
Apart from the few moments where Heath showed up, I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal
I can see what you mean when you said that he was chanelling Ledger's Joker. I particularly heard it in the scene where he was eating chips in front of Black Mask.
I think he's pretty good. He's no Hammil, but nobody can be as perfect as he was ;)
For the record dimaggio wasn't trying to be like anyone else's joker, he was trying to be his in joker like all those other actors were!
Abso-Freakin-Lutely
John DiMaggio so far has gotten the closest to be like Mark Hamill's Joker while at the same time making it his own. With Mark Hamill retiring, he is the perfect person to go too.
Same goes for Bruce Greenwood, who is ON PAR with Kevin Conroy in my opinion. Kevin is still a great Batman voice and the voice I think of when I think of an animated Batman, but Bruce Greenwood has this solid snake thing going on that I totally dug. I actually (Don't send me so many hate messages) like Bruce Greenwood's voice just a tad bit more then Kevin Conroy's.
But yes, I'd love to see John DiMaggio return...maybe in that new TV show, Young Justice.
For the record, I'd also like to point out that Neil Patrick Harris was an awesome Nightwing....
Thinking back, that whole movie was great in terms of voice acting :)
I don't mind John DiMaggio's voice for the Joker, but it's just not something I like. Mark still has the best Joker voice as well as laugh to me and it may be a while before anyone beats him out.
like she said once before, before john does joker again just take him on a roller coaster ride to practice his crazy laugh and he'll be even better.
anyway back to your question on kari wahlgren as harley quinn... I think she'd be a great harley.
I understand Ledger was given an idea of what the "type" of joker the director would like to see in the Dark Knight, more in tune with the culture of the recent Batman. I think Dimaggio is continuing along those lines using his own style - i.e. a Joker for our times, a joker the audience of today can relate to. This is why I see a similarity in the way the actors portrayed the character

I've always been a huge fan of Mark Hamil's voice work as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series but, John DiMaggio was also decent as the Jokerin Under the Red Hood. They're both good and I believe that DiMaggio would make a good successor to Mark Hamil.
" For the record, I'd also like to point out that Neil Patrick Harris was an awesome Nightwing.... Thinking back, that whole movie was great in terms of voice acting :) "YES!!! i truly felt that nightwing was the hidden gem in this entire movie and i would love to see nph return.
it would be interesting to see how greenwood and dimaggio will develop their roles. i mean take a look at the first few episodes of the animated batman, conroy and hamill were rough around the edges but quickly refined their voice acting. i really feel that these two would do a great job given time
But yes, I'd love to see John DiMaggio return...maybe in that new TV show, Young Justice. "Yeah that's wat I was thinking too.
No he did not did we'll. don't get me wrong his voice is okay but didn't have a perfect joker tone. I mean he suppose to be homicidal maniac and did not sound insane.
John dimaggios the worst joker. They made him more like jack nicholson and Heath ledger. I just wish jack nicholson or hamill could voice as joker
