    I would imagine the Joker is afraid of being forgotten (like in the Arkham games).

    Joker real fear is >>that everyone discover his true name<< with that he is nothing special at all. No Joker anymore ! Just some guy with ordinary name !!!

    PS - Scarecrow gas don't work on him, because Joker is imune on chemicals !!!
