    Johnny Doughboy

Character » Johnny Doughboy appears in 25 issues.

    More Humor in Uniform.

    Short summary describing this character.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

Johnny Doughboy was one of a seeming army of goofballs populating the military during World War II, at least the army of the comics pages.

Johnny was of a kind similar to Sad Sack, Pvt. Joe Dope, Pvt. Snafu, Private Dogtag, and after the war, Beetle Bailey and Gomer Pyle, lovable goofs in uniform.

He ran in the back pages of Military Comics starting with issue # 14 and changed over to it for a few issues when it became Modern Comics. However as there was nothing that really made him stand out he did not last long after that.
