    Spain, 1936, the Civil War has broken out. Joan, a young man who lives in a town in Catalonia, soon shows that he is not like the others. His goal is to flee his land and travel the world in search of fortune. At the moment, his basic ideology goes through survival, without his own flag and without scruples. Taking advantage of the situation of fratricidal war, he dedicates himself to looting and the black market, moving to Madrid besieged by Franco's troops. To save his life, Joan does not hesitate to pose as a war hero among the Republicans, a soldier among the Francoists or a priest.
