Joan Mason

Origin

Always wearing red Joan Mason is an intrepid reporter and worked for several newspapers. She is also the love interest to Dan Garret the original Blue Beetle although she never did figure out his secret identity. Joan was quite often attacked by criminals that wanted to shut her up. Joan was not only a skilled reporter but a pilot as well.

Creation

Joan was the star of her own feature and did not start out in the Blue Beetle stories but came later. She quite often acted as the damsel in distress in the Blue Beetle stories.
