    Jason Todd

Character » Jason Todd appears in 1742 issues.

Jason Todd was the second Robin, until he was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman didn't avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and father figure and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. He eventually returned to the Bat-Family and assembled a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws.

Would Red Hood currently be considered a hero?

I have seen debates on if he was a hero or anti-hero, however those were years ago, would you say that currently Red Hood could be considered a hero or would you place him as an anti-hero still. IIRC, he is not nearly as prone to killing and lets people go or knocks them out and throws them in jail, he still uses guns though. In addition he isn't taking over and pushing drugs and he still works non-lethally with the Bat-family and even Supergirl on occasions, even name-brand heroes has or are willing to kill is absolutely neccicarry. So is current Jason hero or anti-villain?

Anti-Hero, as like that branch of characters usually does, he still lacks many of the classic traits you'd associate with heroes, whille still retaining his grim and bloody flair. I thought this was especially notable when he himself pointed out that he didn't really enjoy doing some of the things he did when he first came back as the Red Hood, back in his villanous days.
