Sounds cool.  I'm a fan of ALL the Robins, and Jason Todd is definitely one of the more interesting ones.

I thought the issue was good, solid. I agree with the 4/5 Tony gave it. But then again... I find this series to be unnecessary. Heck, Jason Todd is an unnecessary character, as far as I can see. In my opinion, it's one of those characters that work better when they are dead, like Uncle Ben. Jason died, Bats was completely destroyed, he got better. Great, simple, direct part of the mythos. The Fallen Robin, The Broken Batman, all that. You bring him back... and that actually harms the Batman mythos, if you ask me. Especially after seeing what they did with the characters. That's my opinion, at least.

Good writing? Yes, absolutely. Do I like the concept behind it? Yeah, maybe. It bridges some gaps, at least. Do I find it necessary to have a revived Jason Todd as the Red Hood? No, absolutely no.

Was Talia supposed to be so emotional? I always thought of her as a strong person (albeit a villain) who is more like her dad than Kristen Stewart. I gave it 3/5, but I did like the issue.

I enjoyed this issue and I don't think it's undone anything that was already established about Red Hood. He was brought back from the dead (part of infinite crisis i believe) batman didn't know, then he returned as Red Hood to fnck with Batman's head and do things the way he thought they should be done. Nothing in here undoes any of that. I'm not surprised as Todd is one of, if not THE, best character written by Judd. I loved "Under The Hood" and his part in Green Arrow when Judd was writing that. Todd has been handled pretty poorly since then and I'm glad to see Judd get another go at this character. This issue was a solid first issue which was very good but i see this mini getting better before it's end. Good stuff i'd say 4/5 aswell. Fully expecting this series to get a 5/5 overall though.

The thing I like about Talia is that she's on the fence. Her loyalties and motivations aren't 100% clear much of the time. That is what makes her interesting to read about.

Talia's not that much like R'as.
From most of what I've read she's not often been written like Morrison is writing her.

Go Babs i totally agree! i, unlike you two lol, didnt have high expectations for this issue. But i was pleasently surprised on how freaknig amazing it was.  For a character i find rather B-List (Jason) i gained so much more respect for not only his character but Talia's as well. Talia gained a lot of points in my book because i love this interpretation soooo much more from her character in the Batman and Robin series.  It makes her more deep and affectionate. I also really did love this artwork btw.  I really love the lack of a lot of bright colors to complement the serious tone of this book.  It reveals a lot to me about Jason and now i am really liking his character. definetly worth a 5 out of 5.

I went into this issue with zero expectations, but knowing that I was going to like it, and like it i did... hell I loved it!

THIS is Jason Todd, THIS is Th Red Hood, not that red-head loon Morrisson made him out to be (and I say this as a fan of Grant's work). Judd owns this character and he shows it. Its a 5/5 for me, and I REALLY REALLY hope he gets his own monthly, written by Mr. Winick of course! God knows he deserves it even more than that blond bat-brat Oracle's been babysitting!

    JASON FTW... oh and G-man gave it a 4 cuz he's a Marvel-head!!!

@Aquamariner:  What I said in the video is basically I gave this a 4 because I had high expectations. I like Jason so much, I even took time to make a page for Challengers From Beyond when Countdown To Final Crisis was out in the hopes that something would result from this "team." Guess not everyone listens to what we say in the videos...

I think that Jason's "posture" has to do with his uncertainty of what is going on. He was in a coffin, then he busts out of the grave. He gets picked up after getting into a fight in Gotham and is sent to some strange old man and his cougar daughter, where he's trained by ninjas, WTF?! If I was Jason, I'd be confused and lost as f#$Tck! I think the kid knows what he's got, he just doesn't know what to do with himself at this point, which I think is a character trait, or flaw, that you see him battling through as he grows up, becomes Red Hood, Red Robin, Batman, and so on. If he ever finds his way, I think it will be to the detriment of
Batman, cuz I have a feeling that deep down, he's a bad dude.

People need to realize that this is not a different interpretation of Talia, this is how she was before. She used to be emotional, as portrayed in the lost years comic, which took place many years ago. Now she is a different person. Morrison's Talia is the -current- Talia, this one was not the current one.

I'd give it a 4/5 - it's brilliantly characterised, has nice art that complements the tone of the book, and there are some very touching scenes between Talia and Jason.  The only real flaw with this issue is that it's a little light on the plot, but I suppose that's understandable given that it is a prologue.

I have really high hopes for the next issue.

THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one who cringes every time G-Man pronounces something in a way that confuses the hell out of me. The guys name is Ra's. It's weird enough that his name has an apostrophe, but I'm pretty sure we can agree that you could pronounce it as either "ROZ" of "RAZ". But how the hell do you get "RAISH" out of that?! Did I miss some comic arc where he changed his name for a day?
I just assume since they said it one way in Batman Begins that the world could just stick with one (possibly two) ways of pronunciation.

The "Raish" pronunciation came from Batman TAS.

    But google pronounce it Raz
