    Jason Starr was born in 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. He first began writing with mostly crime novels while at Birmingham University. In 2010, Jason Starr wrote The Chill for Vertigo Crime. The Chill was the very first graphic novel to win the Anthony award for a graphic novel. His other work in comics include Doc Savage and Untold Tales of the Punisher Max. Starting in late 2012, Starr will be writing the Wolverine MAX ongoing series with covers by jock.
