The ninth film of its series. The body of Jason Voorhees has been destroyed. his spirit continues by taking possession of various human bodies. Only his surviving family members are believed able to lay his spirit to rest. But they can also achieve his rebirth and Jason is pursuing the latter option. Freddy Krueger has a cameo at the end.
