Creation
Isidore was published by the French/Belgian publisher Dupuis in 1995. The character was designed and written by Francois Gilson and was drawn by Olis, later taken over by Stéphane Dauvin.
Character Evolution
Isidore is a mechanic with his own shop that is just, like any other mechanic, trying to make a living so he can pay his bills each month. Of course it's a little difficult when he's not letting beautiful lady pay their bills because he's trying to flirt with them. He's helped by his two assistents, one of which isn't really the brightest. And of course he has a competitor, although he is friendly with them and they often play pranks on one another.
