History

Ishikawa is the information technology specialist for Japan's Public Security Section 9. He is also the oldest of the organization's field operatives, and one of its least enhanced by cybernetic implants. He served with both Motoko Kusanagi and Batou in South America when all three they were soldiers with the Ground Self-Defense Forces in the Japanese contingent of the United Nations. Afterwards, he become one of the first members recruited into Section 9 by Chief Aramaki.
Ishikawa also has a pachinko parlor known as Parlor Ishikawa. He uses the cyberbrains of the elderly men who play there in order to conduct heavy data gathering, although the men themselves are oblivious to this.
