    Tony Stark was the arrogant son of wealthy, weapon manufacturer Howard Stark. Tony cared only about himself, but he would have a change of heart after he was kidnapped by terrorists and gravely injured. Pressured to create a weapon of mass destruction, Stark instead created a suit of armor powerful enough for him to escape. Tony used his vast resources and intellect to make the world a better place as The Invincible Iron Man. Stark's super hero identity led him to become a founding member of the Avengers.

    What does everyone think about the new armor?

    Do you like it? Does it fail? Do you prefer the Extremis armor? What do you all think?

    I think it looks pretty good. But then again, I like almost all of the recent armors.

    I am feeling kind of out of the loop - Did Tony loose the Extremis virus somehow, and can't use his old armour now? If not, this change is unnecessary.

    Yeah during Secret Invasion. He can't use Extremis anymore so his old armor is unusable.

    But I really prefer his bulked up "Holy crap I'm gonna die" armor. Like say, Hulkbuster. And I'm STILL angry that they got rid of his Extremis powers.

    Actually, in Iron Man 2, he gets an armor closer in design to the Extremis armor. It has the triange shape on his chest instead of the circle. The shoulders are curved more. Overall, the armor that Tony Stark uses in the second movie looks a lot like the Extremis armor.

    It's close but not the same. Comic Extremis had a Superman-logo like diamond chestpiece. But i gotta say other than that, it's almost Extremis.
    Bout the new armor, i like it, looks like a sportscar that Tony would drive around in, kinda looks like a Ferrarri, in humanoid form.
