    Origin

    Iris Raritan was born in a very wealthy family. When her mother died, her father send her to bording-school and told her she could only return home when she had learned the finer arts and knowledge that went with the uper-class of American society.

    Creation

    Iris Raritan was created by Steve Gerber and Gene Coland and first appeared in Howard the Duck issue 25 (1978).

    Major Story Arcs

    Meeting Paul

    Iris met Paul Same, an artist while she was on a cruis-ship known as the SS Damned. She took a liking to Paul's art and she took him as her muse. The two also started a romantic relationship. While back in the States, she organized a promotional party for Paul. Complete with entertainment; the Circus of Crime! This group of criminals not only robbed everybody at the party, but also kidnapped Howard the Duck. Iris, along with Paul and Winda, pursued the criminals. It was then that Paul and Winda found out that Iris knew the Ciricus she had hired where criminals, but she thought it was exciting to have villains around her. Paul was angry with her and he ended the relationship. Iris did stay to bring back Howard the Duck safely home, but soon shunned from the group of friends and was not seen again.
