A robotic creature, Arch-E-5912, ventures to the twisted woods on Sakaar to try to make peace with the Wildebots. They have aligned themselves with the former Red King's Death Head guards. Arch-E-5912 informs them that the Green Scar has sent off the Spikes and that a new age has begun with the new king.

Just then, the warp core to the ship Hulk arrived in warns that it has been compromised. As it explodes, Hulk tries to shield Caiera from the blast. She tells him not to worry and that she will never leave him.

The blast has its effect as it disintegrates everything in its path. Some rescue attempts are made as the planet itself becomes unstable. Molten lava begins seeping through the surface.

Hulk is left alone with his dead wife and unborn child withing her. He blames the "stupid humans" and their "stupid shuttle" for the destruction. Hulk wants to die but the bomb has made him stronger. He shouts out, "GIVE THEM BACK!" On his knees, he asks for "her" back.

The ship that Miek and Elloe used to return the Spikes to the stars finds Hulk after saving what few they could. Hulk wants to be left alone. They tell him that they are warbound to the end. This is the end for this planet. Hulk replies that there is nothing left to smash. They have a robot on board that has a map of the entire universe in its brain. There is but one place left to go. The Hulk is returning home.

Planet Hulk comes to a close... 0

The Planet Hulk storyline comes to a close with this issue. The closing moments of the issue are great, but everything leading up to it felt bit rushed. Maybe it was done because everything that happens is kinda predictable unless you've avoided the internet and have no idea what the next story arc (major event) is.With that said, it's still a good issue. With Planet Hulk coming to a close like this, no one could question Hulk's motivations for what will happen next. Although one would think if ...
