Honestly, these days The Sentry is the most powerful sufferer of down's syndrome in the Marvel Universe. I really hate it because when he was introduced in the Avengers originally I was super pumped at the potential of his character. He has virtually never had an outing where he wasn't subjected to ludicrous PIS. Last issue of Young Avengers Wiccan + minor help seemingly banished him from physical reality and thats hardly the worst he's had.
 
I don't think Hyperion is better but I'd certainly rather read about him. He gets to actually do things. Sentry never does anything, ever and generally acts with the mind of a child. Check out his dialog with Norman in Dark Avengers for more info. It's really sad and a waste of a very powerful and hugely hyped character.

King Hyperion is superior to Hyperion character-wise. 

Hyperion plays up the super powered jerk role well. He's Superman on his period. King Hyperion and his escapade with the Thunderbolts recently proves that. I wish he got more comic panel.

Hyperion is definitely better than the Sentry. He's better than Gladiator, too.

Hyperion is Marvel's best approximation/pastiche/equivalent of Superman. No question. No doubt.

@Mr. Punisher: he didnt get beat by thor,hyperion squashed him like an insect. He even lift the hammer and smashed thor with it.The only reason thor won the figth is because hyperion got stripped of half of is power.

Well Sentry seemed as if he was playing with Hulk. I think Sentry has the potential to surpass Glactaus. His power set is beyond that of Supes. Hyperion seems to be powerful but on Sentry's level.

I liked Sentry at first. I thought his history was a good test in retconning creatively. But the writing started to get chaotic and his charm left. Hyperion is better though. Supreme Power was great and the old Squadron Supreme comic was great.

After Marvel Now Avengers, i enjoy reading this hyperion bloke.... solid character, and not whiny = awesome... he does get philosophical, and i tend to go wuhhhhwuhhhh in the mind.

I enjoy Sentry more because of his massive complexity. Gladiator comes next, due to his unique confidence-based power-amp. Hyperion just seems like he's thrown in whenever a powerhouse is needing a beatdown.

Hyperion is in my top 5 Marvel characters and I love the Supreme Power run at least the #1 to #18 issues.

Really love to see him as a hero in the main universe with his own book.

No hate for the Sentry as a concept, I just think it's fallen flat. Maybe if with all that power he was more of a boss and less of a b***h then people gave him more attention.
