Was it Savage or Merged Hulk?

It was Gravage Hulk, whom was still recovering his strength/power after him and Banner merged back together after the whole Onslaught incident, that fought against the Destroyer.

@thedailybagel: Hulk and Destroyer fought back and forth. It should be noted that Hulk was still in weakened/recovering state of being while fighting the Destroyer, as the split between Hulk & Banner during the Onslaught conflict and their eventually merging back together affected them greatly. In the end, when the Maestro possessed Destroyer steps into a small pool of Hulk's blood, Hulk's own essence enters the Destroyer.

Maestro & Hulk battle for control of the Destroyer. In the end, Hulk causes the Destroyer's energy beam to implode on itself, causing a massive avalanche of thousands upon thousands of tons of rock that buries the body of the weakened Maestro and the Destroyer armor.

Hulk walks away the victor, but it was essentially a stalemate. The Destroyer got in some good, vicious blows when controlled by the Maestro's essence. But the Hulk got in some wicked blows of his own, even sending the Destroyer armor all the way to the Grand Canyon where the final battle takes place.

All in all, given Hulk's recovering state of being and who was controlling the armor, he did pretty well. If Hulk were in top form, and depending on how powerful the controller of the Destroyer is, it would most definitely be one heck of a fight. I don't see a definite winner, unless Hulk were to BFR the Destroyer into or out of Earth's orbit, which is what Thor usually had to resort to when battling it on several occasions.

@thedailybagel: While it was not completely one-sided there was not a thing Hulk could do to the destroyer while he was hurting Hulk badly and even bleeding him with his beams. Eventually Hulk won by somehow driving Maestro out of the Destroyer armor because they both are the same soul so when they clashed it confused the destroyer.

This was a great story PAD. I hate how the artist drawed the Destroyer! The Destroyer was too small and looked like Iron Man.

It did not llook anything like The Destroyer seen in the Thor titles....
