I thought that Hulk became Maestro because of a nuclear war

    DUH!

    Uh yeah.

    My thoughts exactly, bro.

He has survived nuclear assaults and worse.

Nothing special about him withstanding a nuclear weapon or a nuclear arsenal.

I mean, he's a planet buster level hero!

Do you think he's worried about getting hit with a nuke or two?

Maestro was killed with a Gamma bomb. Basically at that point in time Peter David felt that a direct hit with a nuke should kill Hulk/Thor level characters and thats reflected in the fact that nuclear weapons were presented as a threat a few times during his run. However Hulk has taken numerous nukes before and since, most recently when he forced Banner to remain at ground zero while his new gamma bomb exploded and killed him. A very knowledgebale poster called Liam Gallagher's Unibrow had a collection of the many times Hulk has tanked nukes at comicboards.com, though its probably a couple of years out of date now.

Thanks for clearing that up. It's hard to learn about characters when the writing is inconsistent

Easily. Wolverine can survive them, and Hulk's healing factor makes Wolverine's look weak.
